If you are
planting your garden by the phases of the moon and signs of the zodiac, here’s
the information through Aug. 8. Unless you are in the deep south, be sure your planting now is with fall in
mind.
The moon is in the dark phase now and will remain
in force until the new moon on Aug. 2 at 4:45 p.m. During this time plant only
below-ground producers. Then beginning Aug. 3 and until the next full moon on
Aug. 18, only those veggies that
According to the signs, the fertile sign Taurus (the neck) in force Tuesday and produce above the ground – with an eye, or
course, toward fall.Wednesday for the rest of today (day) with the dark moon ruling.
These are perfect days for planting below-ground producing veggies.
Gemini (the
arms and the bean sign) rules Thursday and Friday. Now this is a perfect time
according to the signs to plant beans but they, or course, produce above the
ground and the moon is in the dark phase. At least half of the formula is
right!
The month ends
with the very fertile sign Cancer (the breast) in force on Saturday and Sunday.
On either of these days you may plant any fall crop that produces below the ground.
August opens
with the killing sign Leo (the heart) ruling through Aug. 3 and the moon
changing phases on Aug. 2.
Our monthly
series of flowering signs begins Aug. 4 with Virgo (the bowels) in force for
two days followed by Libra (the reins) ruling Aug. 6-8. These bloom days will
be good for some late summer flowers or perhaps early fall ones.
