Two more Ember Days coming

Here's this weekend's information on planting by the phases of the moon and signs of the zodiac.

The moon is in the light phase now but that will change Saturday when the full moon comes to rule at 5:14 p.m. EDT. The full or dark moon will then rule until the next new moon on June 4 at 11 p.m.

TODAY is the best day for planting we are going to see for a while. With the moon in the light phase, the sign is in Scorpio (the secrets). Today you may plant anything that produces above the ground if your area is safe from frost now - if there is such a place north of the Tennessee border!

NO PLANTING should occur Friday or Saturday since both are Ember Days and you don't want to plant on an Ember Day no matter what the phase or sign.

A series of so-so signs begins Saturday and continues through May 27. These aren't the best signs to plant in but they aren't the worst either - just so-so. While it won't be the best time for planting it will be a great stretch for making changes like weaning small animals or children, stopping bad habits or starting good ones, scheduling elective surgery- anything that requires a change.
